Factory Direct Precision Metal Stamping | Custom Stamped Parts & Accessories for LED, Automotive, and Home Appliances
In progressive drawing, a die shapes a flat sheet of metal by guiding the material into the die cavity. The material's flow is regulated by applied pressure and lubrication. Proper control of these factors ensures that the metal deforms in a way that achieves the desired shape.
Material Flow: When the material flows too easily, it can result in wrinkles. To counteract this, increased pressure or reduced lubrication is applied to limit the flow, forcing the material to stretch or thin.
Excessive Pressure: Applying too much pressure causes the material to become too thin, resulting in potential breakage.
Balancing Wrinkles and Breaking: Drawing metal is about finding the correct balance between wrinkles and breakage to ensure a successful part.
General Rule: Start with a die radius of approximately three times the metal thickness. If cracks appear, it indicates that the tool has been designed with metal-safe machining, allowing for additional radius adjustments. Some parts may require a small radius under the flange, which can be achieved in a single draw rather than multiple draws to size the radius.
Our precision stamping capabilities are optimized for high-speed, high-accuracy production, offering superior results for complex parts.
A. Minimum Pitch: 0.5 mm
Enables fine-pitch stamping for micro-sized components.
B. Highest Stamping Speed: 600 SPM or more
Supports high-volume production with consistent output.
C. Precision: ±0.003 mm
Ensures ultra-precise manufacturing for demanding applications.
D. Hole Diameter to Material Thickness Ratio: 0.85:1
Ideal for small holes in thin materials.
E. Stamping Material Thickness: 0.05 mm to 2.0 mm
Capable of handling materials from ultra-thin foils to thicker sheets.
F. Material Loss: Zero or less
Our optimized tool design reduces material waste to the minimum.
General Draw Radius Guideline
Metal Thickness | Minimum Radius | Maximum Radius |
.015 to .020 | .156 | .250 |
.021 to .030 | .187 | .281 |
.031 to .040 | .187 | .312 |
.041 to .050 | .187 | .343 |
.051 to .062 | .250 | .375 |
.063 to .093 | .312 | .437 |
.094 to .125 | .344 | .468 |
As a general rule, 3 times of metal thickness can be used for a start point. If the part shows evidence of cracked, the tool has been machined metal safe, thus allowing for additional radius. The part specification may require a small radius under the flange that may be achieved with one draw, as opposed to several draws to size the radius.

FAQ
Q: What’s your manufacture capability?
---- We use Sodick/Charmilles to frabricate die inserts, dimension we can do is +/-0.002mm.
Q: Can you make all the dimensions are according to our design/samples?
---- We can guarantee that all the dimensions are made according to your drawing/sample.Please notice that dimension tolerence we can do is +/-0.003mm.
Q: Did the stamping die suit for my press machine?
--- The stamping die is made according to your press machine’s specification. Before start making die parts,we will send the design for your approval.
Q: What’s your advantage compare with other supplier’s on the market?
---- We are stamping factory, have a team contains die design, making, maintance and stamping production. We know how important the good mold for stamping production.
---- All our engineers are with more than 10 years working experience. They are more professional on precision stamping field.
---- All the die parts we made are by Slow-speed wire EDM,can gurantee the dimension. Many of them make it by middle-speed wire EDM/fast-speed wire EDM
